Three of Swords
Swords is the suit of air — thought, conflict, and the truth told plainly.
Upright
heartbreak, painful truth, grief
Three swords through a heart under grey rain — the deck's most literal image. This is the hurt that comes from something true: betrayal, rejection, or a fact that cannot be unheard. Upright, it asks only that you let it be as painful as it is, without rushing to the lesson.
Reversed
healing, releasing hurt, holding the wound open
Reversed, the swords begin to withdraw. Pain recedes and perspective returns. It can also mean the opposite — the injury nursed and rehearsed long past its natural life, kept sharp because letting it heal would feel like letting someone off.
Every draw here is a real quantum draw — Three of Swords is one of the 78 you might get, and a friend of your choosing reads it aloud.
