Two of Swords
Swords is the suit of air — thought, conflict, and the truth told plainly.
Upright
stalemate, avoidance, a choice not looked at
A blindfolded figure holds two crossed swords at the shore, back to the water. This is deadlock maintained by not looking — the decision avoided by keeping both options theoretically open. Upright, it says the blindfold is yours and the standoff ends when you take it off.
Reversed
the deadlock breaking, information arriving, choosing
Reversed, the swords come down. New information forces the issue, or you finally look. Relief usually follows, though it can also mean the choice being made for you because you left it too long.
Every draw here is a real quantum draw — Two of Swords is one of the 78 you might get, and a friend of your choosing reads it aloud.
