privacy
Tarot Friend keeps things simple: there are no accounts and no databases. We don't build profiles and we have nothing to sell.
If you enter a name, it lives only in your own browser (so it's there next visit) and is sent once per draw solely to personalize that reading. We never store it on our side.
Readings and card artwork are generated by third-party AI services (Anthropic's Claude and Google's Gemini). The card drawn, its orientation, and your optional first name are sent to those services to generate the content, under their own privacy policies.
We use Google Analytics to understand how many people visit and which pages are popular. It sets cookies and shares usage data with Google under Google's privacy policy. We don't run ads.
To keep draws fair, the server briefly remembers visitor IP addresses in memory only — nothing is written to disk, and it's erased whenever the server restarts. Our hosting provider (Heroku) keeps standard short-lived server logs.
That's the whole policy. Questions? The site is small enough that there's nothing more to tell.
