VI · Major Arcana
The Lovers
Upright
union, choice, alignment, values
Two figures stand under an angel, unclothed and unhidden. The card is about love, but its deeper subject is choice — the kind made not between good and bad but between two goods, where picking one means being a particular person. Upright, it promises real union and asks whether your choice matches your values, because that alignment is what makes the union hold.
Reversed
misalignment, avoidance, a choice deferred
Reversed, something is out of true. It may be a relationship where the two of you want different lives, or a decision you keep declining to make in the hope it will resolve itself. The card is rarely about a wrong choice; more often it is about the cost of refusing to choose, which is that circumstances choose for you.
Every draw here is a real quantum draw — The Lovers is one of the 78 you might get, and a friend of your choosing reads it aloud.
