Pentacles is the suit of earth — work, money, body, and the slow building of things.
Upright
craft, collaboration, work recognised
A mason works on a cathedral while two others consult his plans. This is skill in company — being good at something and having that recognised by people who can judge it. Upright, it favours collaboration and the pride of doing the work properly.
Reversed
poor teamwork, unrecognised effort, mediocrity
Reversed, the collaboration fails. Contributions go unacknowledged, the team pulls in different directions, or good-enough is quietly accepted where care was called for. It also catches working alone on something that genuinely needs other hands.
