Four of Pentacles
Pentacles is the suit of earth — work, money, body, and the slow building of things.
Upright
holding on, security, saving and gripping
A figure clutches one coin, stands on two more and balances a fourth on his head, letting go of none. This is security pursued to the point of rigidity. Upright, it acknowledges the real need for stability while noting how much you cannot pick up with full hands.
Reversed
loosening, generosity, or loss of control
Reversed, the grip changes. At best that means opening up — spending, giving, taking a risk with what you have hoarded. At worst it means the control slipping and the loss you were bracing against arriving anyway.
