Upright
resilience, the last stretch, wary persistence
A bandaged figure leans on a staff with eight more behind him, watching for the next thing. This is what endurance actually looks like: tired, guarded, and still standing. Upright, it says you are further through than you feel, and the wariness is earned rather than paranoid.
Reversed
exhaustion, paranoia, defences that cost too much
Reversed, the vigilance has outlived the threat. You are braced against something that has passed, and the bracing is now the injury. It can also mark genuine depletion — the point where pushing on stops being resilience and starts being harm.
