King of Wands
Wands is the suit of fire — drive, creativity, and the will to act.
Upright
vision, leadership, creative authority
The king holds his staff like a tool rather than a sceptre, salamanders circling his throne. This is fire matured into direction — the person who sees where it should go and can get others to come. Upright, it favours taking the lead on the strength of a vision you actually believe.
Reversed
domineering, impulsiveness, vision without follow-through
Reversed, the authority frays. It becomes heat used to overrule rather than inspire, big declarations no one is left to implement, or a leader whose certainty has stopped being checked against anything. Vision needs someone doing the unexciting middle.
