He sits on a throne on a choppy sea and his cup does not spill. This is feeling fully present and fully governed — the person who stays calm in a crisis without going cold. Upright, it favours responding rather than reacting, and being the steady one on purpose.
Reversed
suppression, volatility, coldness dressed as calm
Reversed, the composure is a lid. Feeling gets pushed down until it comes out sideways, or calm becomes a way to avoid ever being reached. At its worst, this is emotional control turned on other people rather than on himself.
