Five of Wands
Wands is the suit of fire — drive, creativity, and the will to act.
Upright
competition, friction, scrappy conflict
Five figures swing staves in what looks as much like a scuffle as a battle. This is friction without real malice — competing interests, crossed purposes, everyone talking at once. Upright, it can sharpen you, but only if the fight is named rather than pretended away.
Reversed
avoiding conflict, resolution, exhausting infighting
Reversed, either the scuffle is ending or it has gone underground. Tension resolves and the group finds its footing, or the disagreement stops being spoken and starts being fought sideways, which is slower and more corrosive.
Every draw here is a real quantum draw — Five of Wands is one of the 78 you might get, and a friend of your choosing reads it aloud.
