Two of Cups
Cups is the suit of water — feeling, relationship, and the inner life.
Upright
partnership, mutual regard, meeting as equals
Two people exchange cups and look directly at each other. This is connection that goes both ways — romance, friendship, or a working partnership where neither is the junior. Upright, it favours the honest offer and says the other person is likely to meet it.
Reversed
imbalance, disconnection, one-sided effort
Reversed, the exchange is uneven. One cup keeps being filled and the other keeps being emptied, or something unspoken has quietly broken the eye contact. It rarely means the bond is over — more often that it needs saying out loud before it can right itself.
