Eight of Cups
Cups is the suit of water — feeling, relationship, and the inner life.
Upright
walking away, seeking more, deliberate departure
A figure leaves eight stacked cups behind and walks toward the mountains under a moon. Nothing here is broken; that is what makes it hard. Upright, this is leaving something adequate because it is not enough — a job, a relationship, a life that works and does not fit.
Reversed
staying too long, drifting back, fear of leaving
Reversed, the departure stalls. You have known for a while that this is over and keep finding reasons to stay, or you left and circled back without anything having changed. The card asks whether you are staying out of hope or out of habit.
Every draw here is a real quantum draw — Eight of Cups is one of the 78 you might get, and a friend of your choosing reads it aloud.
